GREAT NEWS ! I have been training Cockatiels and African Lovebirds as-well as budgies too ! 

Here is a short list of the sports antics that will be featured in my book , 

Tennis -Golf -Cricket – Snowboarding – Skateboarding – Footy -Soccer – Basketball – Ping-Pong , Pool Rollerskating & much more …

Together my birds and I  have created  new photos of their funny antics plus my usual suspects the cheeky budgies will all appear in my forthcoming books ! very excited !

 

 

I am very proud to have put something lovely out there  giving others an insight into how clever , intelligent and plain wonderful  these and all animals are and how we take for granted all the many ways they can relate to us &  enrich us and how important it is to protect their environments  worldwide .

I am currently working on books as-well so there is plenty more to come shortly…

and I am continuing to campaign in different areas plus distribute my photos to media outlets to gain a wider and broader audience which will allow me to demonstrate how wonderful these birds and other animal species are and just how much they are capable of relating to us and enriching our lives , please look at my photos , enjoy them and consider them and that we share our earth and future with these beautiful animals and millions of more animals alike , please don’t take it for granted

Some info ..FYI

 

 

Many of you have written to me asking if I train only baby budgies ? the answer is no . I have often visited my local pet store or weekend market where I have purchased one of the older overlooked budgies ,I feel they deserve a little bit of paradise here on earth after serving most of their lives in tiny cages I feel a sense of great privilege to become there adoptive parent ,Take Harry for example who’s ( pictured below ) , he was dumped in a cage outside a vet door missing a toe and in very poor health maybe the owner did not know what else to do with him ? ,who know’s the circumstances or reasons he was just abandoned ? , I don’t know how old he is he seems wise but what I do know is he is incredibly funny , Smart , Beautiful , Sensitive and at this point he’s Micks best friend (  pictured below ) ,they are inseparable and they both enjoy learning new tricks together , you never can tell what your pet bird will be like in personality ,but you can  be assured with respect and gentle handling you will make a true friend . The first thing I do during a period of initiation is give them vitamins , greens , and an introduction to my leafy rainforest / bathroom where they fly free during their shower periods .

Next step is spending a few weeks allowing them to acquaint themselves with my apartment so that they avoid any injuries when flying free . Sometimes budgies can become confused if they are unfamiliar with their environment and they can injure themselves by flying into random objects or window panes . And I make a great effort to prevent these events  from occuring

During this process I can also  observe my new feathered friends preference’s in whom she /he chooses as friends in the flock they have very definite preferences in this area as I have discovered time and time again ,once friends are chosen the alliances are not broken and it is at this point I will pair them up together to learn tricks in groups and teams . I once purchased a pair of sisters after observing them for an hour or two for this very reason  . I also felt my heart strings tugging at the thought of them being purchased separately and I am so glad I did as they are as thick as thieves and ever devoted to each other it’s amazing

Barry and Brian decided to kick back for a casual boy’s Poker night but  as the night progressed both Barry and Brian became more and more P!@# as Parrots and that’s when Barry put on some unexpected entertainment …

Barry decided it would be fun to dance and sing on the table , however Brian was not amused …

Barry Chuckled and chirped -Hey Brian – bring me a drink on your way back mate !  ,meanwhile Some of the other boy’s rocked up  …

Barry got stuck into the bottle of passionfruitlicious that his mate Harry had arrived with and all bets were on the table ! ( as  Barry was off the table at last ! )

Another mate , Mick ( who was reputed to be a bit of a “Bad Egg ” ) also placed a few bets and then later when everyone had fallen of their perches he turned the joint over

  Stone the bloody Crows ! “we’ve been robbed !

I AM ALSO RELEASING A VIDEO ON THIS SITE SHOWING YOU HOW TO TRAIN YOUR BUDGIE TO SKATEBOARD AND OTHER FUN THINGS TOO !

Soon I will release a whole heap of different sports budgies , I can’t post all my photos on this site as much as I would like to share them all , I do have to save some for my books which I hope you will enjoy !

My budgies are currently trained to SKATEBOARD and play group SOCCER , they also play BASKETBALL & NRL though I’m not to certain they know the rules ? hehehehe .. I know I don’t !

And I have recently been training my cuties to play TENNIS ( yes you heard correctly ! ) and CRICKET they’ll hopefully do a little better then we did this year ..sigh and GOLF plus BMX biking !

Is that the phone ringing again? 

Oh God ! it’s a telly marketer ..sigh have I seen the new skateboarding budgies ? do I want to WIN a holiday ?

yadda yadda yadda …. yes ! Ok then sign me up ! I’ll need a holiday break after this long call !

Winging it around my place .

I wanted to show everyone what kind of accommodation my cuties have , I dont like putting my budgies into a cage , I hate the concept of them hurting their wings and feet on the bars so I thought up a better solution and they just love it !

As you can see in the photos I’ve given them a kind of commando fun enviroment with ropes and swings plus a full ferret hammock which they cant seem to get enough of , they bounce and run all over it and they also like to sleep on it as-well

I give them treat containers too ones they have to find way’s to get  into made from cardboard rolls , I fill them with pine nuts , currents carrots and apples

I constantly update their enviroment as-well moving toys adding toys as this is important for their very active minds .

I also add vitamin supplements to their water , worm  treatment when required and spray them twice a week with mite care plus give them a fun shower time 3 times a week
